Spring Cleaning

Stay calm, stay hydrated!

With the recent world heath events and shortage of cases of water bottles in the stores, a convenient and simple option to have on hand is a water filter pitcher that you can refill using cold tap water from your faucet.

While my local big box department store was out of water, I found the water pitcher aisle to have some inventory on hand, although they were sold out of replacement filters. I even saw water bottles with filters to take filtered water on the go.

I decided to purchase a PUR water dispenser from the store and I figured I could get it up and running quickly, then do some research online to see about getting the filters.

Although I’ve owned a Brita water filter pitcher in the past that worked out well for me, I decide to try the PUR model as I liked the look of the dispenser and the box said the filters were certified to reduce lead and 3x more contaniments than the Brita.

So I’m in process of setting up the water dispenser tonight and will see how it works out. After I’m done doing that, I’ll place an online order for the water filters, which I’ll look up here

If you drink filtered water (using a water bottle, pitcher, dispenser, faucet or whole house system), which model and brand do you like best?

Stay safe and healthy!

Happy first day of spring! It’s also International Day of Happiness too!

In celebration, I’d like to help you get started with your spring cleaning goals and help you find ways to bring happiness to your life by getting organized.

We’ll be using the S-T-O method of organizing (which stands for Sort-Things-Out), a personalized plan and system that I created and have been teaching since 2007.

To help you remember S-T-O, we’ll take you through these four steps:

1. STuck? Overwhelmed?

2. STep Out of your comfort zone

3. STart with One thing

4. STart Organzing!

Are your stuck and overwhelmed?

How do you feel about your clutter? Many people are embarrassed, ashamed, depressed, want to run away, feel like they need help, can't have anyone over, are stuck or overwhelmed.

To get unstuck, let’s first acknowledge what you are currently feeling.

I’m going to tell you that it’s OK that you’ve gotten to this point. Know that you are not alone. We are all in this together.

I’ll let you in on a little secret. I wasn’t born organized; I wasn’t blessed with the organizing gene. My house is not perfect. I have my piles, but I remind myself that it’s OK, this is who I am and I’m living life.

I remind myself of the plan and system that I have in place to whittle away at my piles, 5-minutes at a time.

For those who have followed me in the past, you probably remember Eva’s Edict, the friendly, daily reminders to help motivate you to release your piles. We’ll be bringing those reminders back in the coming days (and weeks), to help you get back on track with your organizing goals.

I’ll also take you through the complete steps of the S-T-O Sort-Things-Out organizing system to help you stay motivated and keep track of your daily progress.

Your homework for today:

Replace your negative thoughts about your clutter with a new positive attitude and motivation for wanting to get organized.

✓  Think about why you want to clear your clutter. What is your goal

✓  Visualize the final outcome and let this be your focus from this point forward.

 ✓    ✓    ✓

We’ll continue our journey to an organized life and the peace and happiness that it brings.

Share with us what your organizing goal is!

Sending hugs,
